The Achzarit is an Israeli heavy armored personnel carrier that came about by rebuilding captured Soviet T-54/T-55 tanks. The Israelis removed the turret, reworked the hull and created a compartment for carrying infantry with a rear exit. The vehicle received heavy armor, which makes it one of the best protected carriers of its day. The early configuration kept the original power unit and corresponds to the first production form, before the later modifications to the engine and the equipment.
First assemble the running gear and the multi-part tracks, and only then close up and paint the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush — a uniform sand (Sinai gray) tone is typical of Israeli equipment. Bring out the panel lines and the rivets with a wash and finish the underside and the running gear with dust and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
