An accessory set in 1:35 scale with the Soviet KMT-7 mine roller in the mid production version. Intended for completing a tank model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The KMT-7 is a Soviet mine clearing device that was hung on the front of a tank. It works simply and crudely: heavy steel discs roll along the ground ahead of the tracks and their weight sets off pressure mines before the vehicle drives over them. A lane is therefore cleared in two strips the width of the tracks, not across the whole width of the vehicle. The set represents the mid production version, as the name states.
Accessory parts of the mine roller in 1:35 scale. They serve to complete a tank model or to bring an engineer vehicle diorama to life; you cannot build a model in its own right from them. The number of parts in the package and the kit they are cut for are given in the maker's instructions.
The material of the parts does not follow from the name, so proceed carefully: ordinary cement for plastic models holds only on polystyrene, and for other materials use cyanoacrylate. Cut off any excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down, and wash and degrease the parts before painting. Dry-fit the mounting of the roller until the glue sets, so that the discs stand in one plane and rest on the ground. When painting, bear in mind that the roller scrapes along the ground: the running faces of the discs tend to be polished to bright metal, whereas the frames and pins hold a layer of mud, dust and rust.
Paints, glue and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
