A resin figure of the driver of the Kübelwagen in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mantis Miniatures. The seated figure is cast in resin and shaped to be fitted behind the wheel of a model of the light field car. It is intended to be finished by brush; work with resin suits advanced modelers.
The Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen was a light field car of the German army of the Second World War, used as a liaison, staff and reconnaissance vehicle. A seated driver figure will enliven the interior of the model and give the car scale and action. It suits a diorama as well as a car displayed on its own.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is practical to paint the figure before the final assembly; a primer, shaded layers of acrylic or oil paint and bringing out the face and the uniform with glazing and a dry brush all prove their worth.
The figures are supplied unpainted and cast in resin, intended to be glued and finished by brush. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
