A detail set from the photo-etched range for models of the Soviet KV-1 Model 1942 heavy tank with the simplified turret, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photo-etch is made by etching a shape into thin sheet metal, so the part is far thinner than its plastic counterpart. In 1:35 scale this shows above all on fenders, protective grilles, brackets and clasps, that is on everything that measures only a few millimeters on the real vehicle. Metal also holds its shape once bent, so it can be used for elements that would never come out of plastic. The set contains photo-etched parts and is built for the KV-1 Model 1942 with the simplified turret in 1:35 scale; the exact contents of the package and the placement of the individual parts are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank from the early part of the Second World War, famous for the heavy armor with which it long resisted ordinary anti-tank weapons. It carried a 76 mm gun, ran on torsion bar suspension, and its great weight told on the reliability of the transmission. The Model 1942 with the simplified turret corresponds to the later machines, on which production moved away from the more laborious shapes.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
