1:35 MK.23 MTVR with Armor Protection Kit is a glued plastic kit of the American medium MTVR truck with armor protection for the cab in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This glued plastic kit captures the American medium MTVR truck in the MK.23 version with added armor protection for the cab. It is precisely that which gives an otherwise ordinary supply truck a combat look and is the main distinguishing feature compared with the standard version. The model in 1:35 scale is sizeable, with a clearly readable frame, cross-country wheels and a tarpaulin-covered or open cargo bed depending on the build option chosen.
The MTVR is a range of cross-country trucks with all-wheel drive that the US Marine Corps introduced as a replacement for older medium vehicles. It is characterized by independent suspension on all wheels, thanks to which it copes even with very broken terrain, which is not usual for trucks in this weight class. The MK.23 version is used to carry cargo and troops. The armor protection kit for the cab was added to the vehicles in response to experience from operations abroad, where supply convoys were a common target, and it protects the crew against fragments and small arms fire.
Finish the frame, the axles and the suspension first, and only then fit the cab and the bed. With a vehicle with independent suspension it pays to check that the model stands evenly on all its wheels before the glue dries. Paint the cab and the bed separately while they are still accessible. Modern American vehicles carry a single-color desert or field shade, on which dust in the lower part of the vehicle, dark emphasis of the gaps and worn spots on the step surfaces show up well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
