The Mi-24 is an attack helicopter with stub wings and a crew seated in two cockpits one behind the other, with the rear pilot's station higher than the front one. Behind the cockpits there is a cabin for a carried squad, which makes this machine a combination of a gunship and a transport helicopter. This set is aimed at the Mi-24V version in the black instrument panel form.

The panels, the instruments and their labels are in color from the factory, so painting individual dials and then drybrushing the bezels falls away. The relief of the print tells above all on the instrument panels of both stations, where a flat decal from the box adds no depth. The extent of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The thin film does not increase the thickness of the part, so it does not get in the way when closing the covers.
The QD range is applied the wet way. Cut the element from the sheet, put it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so spray the surfaces beneath the elements and cover them with a gloss varnish such as Future or Tamiya X-22. Bring the part to its place, blot the excess water and press it down with a soft tool so that it seats into the recesses of the panel too; in a deep recess a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer.
The set pays off on a model built with the doors open or the cockpit covers slid back, where the interior is visible. Check what kit it is intended for in the manufacturer's instructions. The helicopter, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
