An old wooden wall in 1:35 scale for dioramas. A weathered plank surface as the background of a scene or as a second wall for a corner.
Responsibility details are not available.
A weathered plank wall is a background that lends a scene both surroundings and a story, and at the same time it does not overpower the main thing in the foreground. It comes into its own as the wall of a shed, the side of a barn or a partition in a workshop. This set offers an old wooden wall prepared in 1:35 scale, that is in the format of the most widespread figures and military equipment.
One wall bounds a scene; two walls joined at a right angle turn it into a nook in which the view stays. A corner is at the same time the place where the joint of two parts can be hidden and where a ladder, tools or a crate suit being leaned. In 1:35 scale an adult figure measures around five centimeters, so count on more than seven centimeters for the height of an ordinary wall. A lower area looks more like a fence than the wall of a building on the finished scene.
Put the wall together with its surroundings dry first and look the scene over from the viewer's side. Support the wall from behind so that it stands perpendicular and does not warp; on taller areas a frame around the perimeter pays off as well. Play the transition to the surface below down so that the wall looks set into it, not stood on an edge. The maker's instructions give the specific procedure for gluing and any surface treatment.
The set suits builders of rural and workshop scenes and also those looking for a plain background behind a single vehicle or behind a small group of figures. It serves well as the rear surface of a small display-case scene, where what is going on is visible from one side only.
Figures, equipment and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
