Decals with a Zimmerit pattern for the Panther tank in 1:35 scale, pattern variant type 4. A replacement for paste applied by hand.
Responsibility details are not available.
Zimmerit was a paste-like coating with which the German army covered the armor of its vehicles in the second half of the Second World War. It was meant to prevent magnetic anti-tank charges from sticking to the plating. It was applied with a spreader, and the dried layer carried a pronounced pattern of grooves or waves, which differed between individual makers and batches. On a model it is one of the most conspicuous surface features and at the same time the hardest thing to imitate by hand.
Decals with a Zimmerit pattern for the Panther tank in 1:35 scale. The type 4 designation distinguishes this pattern from the other variants in the same range, so it can be chosen according to how the pattern looks on a particular subject. The decal solution has the advantage over applying paste that the layer stays thin and even and does not cover the rivets or fine details of the armor.
A set of decals is supplied as described. The tank kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
