MAiM 1:35 private military contractor is a separate figure of modern civilian security personnel, suited to present-day dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a separate figure in 1:35 scale depicting an employee of a private security company in a present-day setting. It is not a kit of equipment; the figure completes a scene that has already been built and gives it a human dimension. The figure suits modern scenes with wheeled equipment, checkpoints and urban built-up areas.
Contractors of private security firms have appeared in present-day missions since the late 1990s and in modeling terms they are interesting precisely because of the way they differ from a soldier in regulation gear: civilian trousers and T-shirts, commercial load-carrying systems, sunglasses, a cap instead of a helmet, an individual combination of items. For a modeler that means freedom — there is no single correct scheme, so the color solution can be more varied than on a line unit. The figure also serves as a suitable civilian contrast to a uniformed crew in the same scene.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts — a plastic cement on plastic, super glue on resin. Wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water before painting, sand the parting seams and protect your airways as you do so. Apply a thin filler primer. Build the face and the hands up in layers: the base tone of the skin, a darker shadow into the eye sockets and the folds, highlights on the nose and the cheekbones. Separate the load-carrying system and the gear from the clothing in shade, otherwise they will merge; pick the edges of the pockets and the straps out with a dry brush. Dirty the boots and the bottoms of the trousers with pigment according to the base of the scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
