A decal sheet in 1:35 scale for a model of the German PzKpfw. V Panther medium tank in the Ausf. A version. It replaces the markings from an ordinary kit and lets you build one particular machine instead of a general vehicle. Which machines the sheet covers, and how the numbers and badges are laid out on the hull and the turret, is shown by the drawing enclosed by the manufacturer.
The Panther is among the best-known German tanks of the Second World War. Its heavily sloped hull front plate and its 7.5 centimeter gun with a barrel seventy calibers long made it an unpleasant opponent at long range. The version designations did not run alphabetically: the Ausf. A came only after the Ausf. D and preceded the Ausf. G. You can tell it by the cast commander's cupola and the machine gun in a ball mount in the hull front plate, where the earlier fit had only a hinged flap.
First seal the area under the decal with gloss clear; on a matte surface a white haze forms under the film. Cut the decal out close to the edge of the print, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be slid off the paper. Slide it into place, press the water out with a soft brush from the center outward and soak up the rest. A softener helps it settle into the engraving and over the rivets. Once dry, seal the surface again, and only then come the weathering and the dust deposits.
