This is a photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. It holds parts for refining the British Scammell Pioneer SV2S heavy recovery vehicle, that is fine features of the body, the crane, the grilles and the fittings. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory that replaces the simplified plastic pieces with more faithful photo-etch.
The Scammell Pioneer was a British heavy tractor and recovery vehicle of the Second World War; the SV2S version served to recover and tow damaged equipment with an extending crane. Its rugged body and its wealth of small equipment offer ample scope for detailing.
