The Quickboost set brings cast wipers for the windshields of the SH-60 Sea Hawk naval helicopter in the large 1:35 scale. It replaces the parts from the box, which because of the injection process tend to be far thicker than the real thing. The helicopter is not in the package; this is an accessory for a model under construction.
The cockpit glazing is the first place a viewer looks, and on a cabin some 37 mm across in this scale every arm is clearly visible. The casting captures the thin structure and the rubber blade in proportions that an injection mold cannot reach, so the result looks delicate even from close up and in photographs.
The Sea Hawk is the naval branch of the army UH-60. It was created for service from the decks of destroyers and frigates, where it carries out anti-submarine, patrol and rescue tasks. It differs from the land version in its folding tail boom, its deck securing system and its equipment for long flights over the open sea. In the large 1:35 scale even details that would be lost in the usual 1:72 come into their own.
