1:35 StuG III Storage And Equipment Set

1:35 StuG III Storage And Equipment Set (Takom, 1:35 scale)

This set is not a stand-alone model; it is an accessory (an aftermarket set) for a basic kit of the StuG III assault gun in 1:35 scale. It contains injection-molded plastic parts representing the stowage and baggage with which the hulls of vehicles were commonly hung: jerrycans, crates, tarpaulins, tools and other small items of equipment. The accessory serves to bring a finished model to life and make it convincing, or to build dioramas.

The real subject

The StuG III (Sturmgeschütz III, assault gun) was a German self-propelled gun of the Second World War period built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. In the field, crews commonly added stowed equipment, spare parts and personal baggage to their vehicles, and it is exactly these features that give a model a realistic lived-in look.

Contents and use

• Plastic parts for stowage and baggage (jerrycans, crates, tarpaulins, tools and other equipment).
• They serve to hang the hull and the fenders of a finished StuG III model.
• Ideal for building dioramas and setting a vehicle in a scene.
• Glue the parts with a modeling cement for plastic; match the patina (washes, pigments) to the base model.

Who it is for

• Modelers who want to bring a StuG III build to life with realistic equipment.
• Builders of dioramas and scenes from the Second World War period.
• More advanced armor modelers looking for aftermarket accessories.

An accessory for a model: it requires a separate basic StuG III kit, which is not included in the package. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included.
