It is a scenic element meant to complete a water surface and the story of a diorama, not a kit of a working vessel. The resin casting carries the detail of the wooden structure, which comes out well once it is painted and weathered.
A sunken boat is a rewarding focal point for a scene on a bank, in flooded country or among ruins by the water. Around it you can easily build up a surface of resin or modeling gel and add algae, mud and deposits. It creates an immediately legible story of abandonment and time.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water and rid it of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and sand them down, and handle the gluing with cyanoacrylate. Bring the wood out with glazes and washes, darken the submerged part and add algae deposits. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and material for imitating water are not included in the package.
