3D-printed bolt heads for the armor plates of the American M36 Jackson tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. Intended for Tamiya kits and others.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M36 Jackson was an American tank destroyer committed at the end of the Second World War in Europe. It carried a 90 mm gun in an open turret and was one of the few Allied tracked vehicles that could deal even with the most heavily armored German tanks. The surface of its armor plates is broken up, and the bolt heads on it belong among the details that give a model its sense of scale.
The set brings 3D-printed bolt heads for the armor plates of the M36 in 1:35 scale, intended for Tamiya kits and for models of other makers. Printing keeps the shape of a head sharp and even over the whole area, which is hard to achieve with bolts added by hand from stretched rod.
The parts are held on print supports and are very small. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel over a mat, so that they do not fly away, and work with tweezers. The material is not polystyrene; use super glue to bond them. Put a drop of it on a tile and pick it up with the tip of a toothpick, or the glue will run over and flood the surrounding surface. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting, then apply a thin layer of primer, so that the bolt heads do not disappear.
The set is intended for builders of Allied vehicles in 1:35 scale who are finishing a model of the M36 and want to make the surface of the armor plates more accurate.
The package holds the accessory named only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
