A resin, 3D-printed kit of the American A/S32A-49 deck tractor in 1:35 scale from Reskit, intended for experienced modelers. It is the longer variant of this tractor — please distinguish it from the shorter version and from the forms in other scales. The model is printed entirely by direct 3D printing with fine detail of the frame, the running gear, the towing equipment and the operator's station, and it serves as a striking addition to dioramas and scenes from an aircraft carrier deck.
The A/S32A-49 is a modern US Navy deck tractor that moves and handles aircraft and helicopters on the flight and hangar decks of aircraft carriers. Its low, rugged build and its high towing power make it a key piece of handling equipment. The longer version has an extended frame compared with the shorter form.
First wash the resin parts to remove uncured resin, cut the print supports off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your breathing while sanding. Paint with an airbrush over a primer, and bring out service wear, oil stains and traces of handling with a wash and fine pigments. Add the markings and warning stripes typical of deck equipment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
