This is a set of turned metal (brass) naval gun barrels in 1:350 scale, not a ship kit. The set contains eight barrels of the Japanese 127 mm (5 inch) 12.7 cm/50 3rd Year Type gun in the variant for turrets without canvas blast bags. The metal barrels have precisely drilled muzzles and a perfectly circular cross section with none of the parting seam that has to be laboriously sanded off plastic. They are made by MASTER, the Polish specialist in turned and etched ship accessories.
The 12.7 cm/50 3rd Year Type gun was the standard main armament of most Japanese destroyers built between 1930 and 1945. This variant matches turrets without canvas blast bags at the root of the barrel; a sister set covers turrets with them. Choose the set according to the particular turret on your model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
