This product is neither a kit nor a finished model but a photo-etched metal set intended for detailing finished ship models. It is the railing variant in which the horizontal lines are rendered as a chain strung between stanchions, as found at selected deck edges, ramps and openings on real ships.
The chain railing is fitted along the edges of decks and openings where a real ship used a chain instead of a solid guard. Etched metal is fine and yet strong, so a realistic railing to scale is produced. The set is suitable for ship models in 1:350 scale.
The railing is separated from the fret with a sharp knife, measured to length and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in small drops. It is advisable to degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer for metal.
It is supplied as a separate photo-etched accessory. Glue, paints and the target model are not included in the package.
