A photo-etched brass set from Flyhawk holding davits and reels for models of Japanese warships of the Second World War in 1:350 scale. It serves to replace coarser plastic parts with fine metal ones. It is NOT a kit of a ship but a refining accessory for the deck.
Davits served for lowering and hoisting boats, and reels for handling ropes and cables. In 1:350 scale these features are very small and come out disproportionately heavy in plastic. A photo-etched rendering gives them back the fineness of the scale and lifts the deck with a wealth of faithful detail.
An accessory for modelers with experience of small parts. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
