A turned metal pitot tip for a model of the British bomber and reconnaissance aircraft BAC TSR.2 in 1:48 scale. It replaces the plastic tube of the kit with a stronger and more accurate metal part.
The long pitot on the nose of the TSR.2 is very prone to bending in plastic. The metal version machined on a lathe keeps its straight shape and its fine detail. You cut off the original part and glue the metal replacement in its place, ideally with cyanoacrylate.
