A plastic kit of the attack helicopter Bell AH-1F Cobra in 1:48 scale from Revell in the Gift Set form (gift package). The set is focused on the striking machine in the colors of the Flying Bulls team for the 25th anniversary and is released as a gift package which, besides the kit itself, also contains a basic set of paints, glue and a brush — so it works as a complete gift as well.
The AH-1 Cobra was the very first series-built attack helicopter — a narrow fuselage, a tandem cockpit with the gunner in front and the pilot behind, and short wings with pylons for the weapons. The AH-1F version was among the later single-engine upgrades in US Army service. The machine in Flying Bulls colors is a civilian historic helicopter used for flying displays, which is why it carries a conspicuous black and gold finish instead of military camouflage.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints once they have dried. The glazing of the tandem cockpit is on show — mask it and glue it with a cement that does not fog clear plastic. The bold Flying Bulls finish comes out best on a smooth, glossy base; apply a gloss coat before the decals and varnish the model over once they are on. Take care over the correct seating of the main and the tail rotor.
The model is supplied unassembled. The gift package contains basic paints, glue and a brush; further tools and paints beyond the enclosed set may come in useful for finishing it.
