Bf 109F-2 Weekend 1:48 is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard that completes the interior and further details of a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a stand-alone photo-etched detail accessory from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 fighter in 1:48 scale, not an aircraft kit. The set adds fine elements that injection-molded plastic cannot render at a true scale thickness, and so raises the fidelity of the finished model.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F, nicknamed the Friedrich, was the aerodynamically cleaned-up development version of the legendary German fighter. The F-2 version was armed with a cannon firing through the propeller hub and with machine guns; it was committed at the start of the 1940s on the Eastern and Western Fronts and in North Africa. Cleaner lines and better handling made it a type pilots liked.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bond them with super glue. Help the smaller elements into place with tweezers; make the bends on a photo-etch bending tool or over the edge of a ruler. Color-printed parts usually need no further painting, and a careful cleanup is enough.
This is a detail accessory, not the aircraft model itself. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
