The injection-molded plastic kit Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 Friedrich in 1:48 scale from Eduard - one of the most successful versions of the legendary German fighter of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The F version, nicknamed Friedrich, is prized among modelers for being the aerodynamically cleanest form of the Bf 109 airframe. It is a classic injection-molded kit that calls for ordinary modeling skills. Eduard issues this type in several editions (among them ProfiPACK with photo-etch and masks and the simpler Weekend) - check the exact edition, the contents of the boxing and the number of marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was among the most important fighters of the Second World War and formed the backbone of the German fighter force throughout the conflict. Compared with the earlier Emils, the F version brought markedly reworked aerodynamics - rounded wing tips, cleaner cowling and the removal of the tailplane struts. The F-4 sub-version was powered by an engine of the DB 601 series and carried armament with a cannon firing through the propeller hub. Friedrichs saw action on many fronts of the early 1940s, and leading German fighter aces flew them.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and pick out the cockpit interior before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear canopy while spraying. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, and after a gloss clear coat apply the decals. Pick the typical gray Luftwaffe camouflage out with a wash in the panel lines and add wear appropriate to the aircraft's service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
