A resin, 3D-printed engine for the Zlin Z-37 / Z-37A Cmelak agricultural aircraft in 1:48 scale. A detail accessory for the MACO kit, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed resin engine produced by 3D printing from 77propeller, meant for a model of the Zlin Z-37 and Z-37A Cmelak agricultural aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set is conceived for the kit from MACO and makes an open, fully drawn-out powerplant possible instead of the simplified part from the box. It is not a model of the aircraft in its own right but an accessory that raises realism.
The Zlin Z-37 Cmelak is a single-seat (and in the Z-37A version two-seat) Czechoslovak agricultural aircraft meant for dusting and spraying fields; it first flew in the 1960s. It was powered by a radial engine and the machine was marked out by a rugged structure and excellent agility at low level. The Cmelak became an icon of Czechoslovak agricultural aviation.
Wash the fine printed parts clean of uncured resin and separate them carefully from the supports, as they are fragile. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You will light the engine up with a combination of metallic shades, a brown wash and a dry brush; the wiring can be added with thin wire.
This is a resin accessory for the kit from MACO. The base model of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package.
