This is not an airplane model but a resin (3D-printed) accessory. The package contains a replacement pair of exhaust nozzles of the Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-220 engines in the open position, as used by the fighters of the F-15 series (A, B, C, D, E, J). The set replaces the nozzles from the box on the kit in 1:48 scale that the title names as the one from Hasegawa; the accessory is made by Reskit.
The exhaust nozzles are a visually exposed detail of the rear of the aircraft. 3D printing faithfully captures the fine petals, the internal ribbing and the texture that injection-molded plastic renders with difficulty. Nozzles in the open position correspond to a parked aircraft with the engines shut down.
Wash the parts to remove print resin residue, separate them from the print supports and sand with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply the metallic and heat-discolored shades over a smooth base and fine-tune them with pigments for a burnt effect.
The accessory is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
