1:48 F-4B SPACE is a set of relief 3D decals from Eduard for the cockpits of the model of the two-seat F-4B carrier aircraft. It takes the place of hand-painting the instruments in both cockpits.

The set belongs to the SPACE decal range: you get decals with printed color and raised relief that are transferred from the backing paper onto the interior parts by the wet method, so they have no adhesive layer of their own. On a two-seat aircraft the work on the instrument panels is doubled, so ready-printed detail pays off all the more. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model you obtain separately. Check the extent of the set against the manufacturer's data.
The McDonnell F-4B Phantom II was a two-seat carrier-based multirole aircraft of American naval aviation. The cockpit is arranged in tandem, the front one for the pilot, the rear one for the second crew member operating the radar and the systems. The machine was powered by two jet engines with afterburners and its armament consisted of guided missiles carried externally; this version had no built-in cannon. Its characteristic features are the upswept outer wing panels and the anhedral horizontal tail.
Plan the work for each of the two cockpits separately and glue before the fuselage is closed. Take the molded dials and switches off the plastic parts and degrease the surface. Moisten only the backing paper under the part with a sponge and a drop of dish soap, place the released element with tweezers accurately at the first attempt and fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate. Leave out a decal softener, because it attacks the printed resin. Even the sheen out with a matte varnish and add a drop of gloss varnish on the instruments for the impression of glass.
The set is an accessory for a model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
