A pre-colored 3D detail set of instrument panels from the maker Red Fox Studio, intended for a model of the two-seat Hornet F/A-18D in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces or improves the instrument panels of the front and rear cockpits. The parts are formed into 3D relief and painted at the factory, so they faithfully capture the dials, displays and controls. The set is intended for the Kinetic kit.
The F/A-18D is the two-seat variant of the Hornet, used for training and for full combat duties alike, where the second crew member operates the sensors and the weapon systems. It is based on the proven design of the single-seat Hornet and is in service with the Navy and the Marine Corps.
