A resin set of replacement wheels for a model of the Israeli two-seat F-16I fighter. It is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory: it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings with sharper rendering of the tire tread pattern, the hubs, the valves and the brakes. The tire and the hub are usually arranged so that they can be masked and painted separately. The set is intended for more advanced modelers who want a more faithful landing gear than the box offers.
The F-16I is the Israeli version of the Fighting Falcon derived from the later two-seat blocks and adapted for range and long-distance missions; the typical feature is the additional conformal fuel tanks on the fuselage spine. It serves as a multi-role strike machine of the Israeli Air Force. The higher takeoff weight of the heavier F-16 versions shows on the landing gear and the tires as well.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and dust them lightly; choose the hubs according to the particular machine. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
