This is NOT an aircraft model but a detailed resin and 3D-printed landing gear set for the carrier fighter Grumman F-14 Tomcat in the A, B and D versions in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the plastic landing gear legs and wheels with more faithful parts; the wheels are rendered as weighted (slightly flattened where they meet the ground), which gives the model the realistic look of an aircraft standing on its own weight.
The accessory is fitted into a 1:48 plastic F-14 kit. The base kit is not included in the package and the modeler has to own it. Reskit issues this set in versions for particular kits — check which F-14 kit your box is intended for before you buy.
Wash the cast resin parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks; on the 3D-printed parts remove the print supports and any print resin residue. Bond everything with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The landing gear legs are usually reinforced with a metal pin for strength. Mask the wheels and spray them separately, and pick out the tires with a fine wash.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
