A printed interior for the late H-20 version of the German bomber in 1:48 scale. The elements have a height of their own and finished color, so the inside of the crew compartment comes about with no mixing of shades and no photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The H-20 version closed the production of the Heinkel He 111 in 1944 and 1945. It was built in sub-versions that had little in common with classic bombing any more: one carried paratroopers, another served to supply encircled garrisons or for night tasks in which targets were found by radio means. The defense was completed by a gun turret with a 13 mm machine gun.
The layout of the crew compartment matched the fact that several men served in it at once. At the front were the stations of the pilot and the bombardier, behind them the radio station with receivers on the bulkhead, and above them the gunner's position. The set covers this tangle across the board: the front panel, the side consoles, the upholstery and the straps of the seats, the placards and the boxes on the bulkheads. The dials have their needles and glossy glasses printed, so under a magnifier they do not look like a flat print.
First try how the elements sit on dry parts, because in a long compartment a small deviation adds up. They are laid on a clean, degreased and completely dry surface, from the tail to the nose, and it is best to move the smaller pieces with a moistened tip of the tweezers.
The glazing of the nose is enormous on this type and on a finished model it forms a window into the whole fuselage. That is exactly why the interior is worth doing before the fuselage halves are joined and the access inside closes.
