Responsibility details are not available.
A pre-painted color photo-etched accessory for the cockpit of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter in 1:48 scale from Yahu Models. It is not a model of the aircraft but a finished instrument panel that replaces the plastic or decal panel from the kit in the cockpit. The part is multi-layered, with finely embossed dials and already painted, faces included; a gloss coat on the lenses imitates the cover glasses of the instruments. The panel is prepared for the 1:48 MC.202 kit from Hasegawa.
The panel is fitted into the cockpit in place of the part from the kit, which does away with the laborious painting of the individual dials. Before gluing it is usually enough to offer the part up and, if necessary, trim it slightly, because the cockpits of different kits differ a little in shape. It is glued with a small amount of super glue.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was an Italian single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a license-built inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine. It was among the best performing Italian fighters and was deployed in the Mediterranean, in North Africa and on other fronts.
This is a cockpit accessory, not a model in its own right. The aircraft kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
