This is an aftermarket accessory, not an airplane model. The pre-colored multi-layer photo-etched instrument panel is painted from the factory and ready to be fitted straight away — it replaces the plastic part from your kit and faithfully renders the instruments, their dials and their labels. The laborious painting and dry transferring of the dials are both done away with. The set is intended for models of the early versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109C/D (Me 109 C-D) fighter in 1:48 scale.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was among the most important fighters of the Second World War and was built in a great number of variants. The early C and D versions of the late 1930s represented the prewar stage of the type's development; they appeared in combat in the Spanish Civil War as well and formed the transition to the later, more powerfully engined forms.
Check whether the shape of the panel matches your particular kit — the dimensions may differ slightly between kits from various makers and sometimes the edges have to be sanded gently. Clean up the original plastic panel, bond the part with a tiny amount of super glue and apply clear varnish carefully.
