This set is an accessory, not a standalone model. It contains resin replacement wheels with fine tread relief and hubs for models of the early MiG-21 versions (F, F-13, U, US) in 1:48 scale. They replace the simplified wheels from the box with a more faithful rendering.
The MiG-21 is a Soviet supersonic fighter, one of the most widespread in history. The early F and F-13 versions differ from the later ones among other things in their tires and hubs, so correctly shaped wheels contribute to the accuracy of a build.
Wash the resin wheels to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting block off the contact patch of the tire and sand it with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires in a matte dark gray and set the hubs apart with a metallic or a solid shade.
The set is an accessory and is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
