This product is not an airplane model but an add-on detail set. The set uses direct 3D printing and is intended to raise the fidelity of the cockpit of the MiG-21F model in 1:48 scale considerably. It replaces the plastic cockpit parts with a finely printed tub, instrument panel and side consoles with sharp relief that cannot be captured in injection-molded plastic.

The real subject

The MiG-21F is among the early versions of the legendary supersonic fighter MiG-21 (NATO reporting name Fishbed). The cockpit of these machines had a characteristic layout of instruments and controls, and rendering them faithfully lifts the overall impression of a finished model considerably.

Usage tips

Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and clean them up. Glue the 3D-printed parts with cyanoacrylate. Before gluing, check the fit with the cockpit of the particular model and paint the parts before final assembly, while they are still easy to reach.
