1:48 MJ-1 (MJ-1C) - driver and crew, modern form, scene 1 is a set of figures of the crew of a loading truck for aircraft ordnance.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Reskit brand captures the team around the MJ-1 loading truck in a form matching the modern period. These are the figures, not the truck itself: they belong to a scene where the hanging of armament is being prepared under a wing. The designation of the scene in the name tells apart the individual arrangements that the manufacturer offers separately.
The MJ-1 is a low motorized truck with which the US Air Force lifts bombs and rockets to the pylons. The nickname Jammer took hold for it so firmly that it appears even in the everyday speech of the ground personnel. The work around it is teamwork: one person drives and operates the lift, the others guide the load and secure its position, because the space under a wing is tight and a mistake costly. It is precisely this interplay that is a rewarding subject on a model.
The working clothing of the ground personnel tends to be faded and dirty in a different way from a pilot's uniform, so it pays to mute the base and to supplement it with traces of hard graft. A reflective vest and the ear defenders on the ears are color accents that set the figures apart from their surroundings at once. Darken the hands and the forearms somewhat more than the face. Suggest the dust on the footwear with a dry pigment only on the lower part of the trouser legs.
The set contains only the figures; neither the truck nor the ordnance is part of it.
