A resin set from the Reskit brand which renders in detail the cargo bay in the rear of the OV-10D Bronco. It is made for models in 1:48 scale and replaces the simplified interior part of a plastic kit. An open rear end is among the most rewarding things that can be shown on a Bronco.
The OV-10 was designed as a light observation and counterinsurgency machine with a short takeoff, two tail booms and a surprisingly roomy rear end. That took cargo, stretchers or several paratroopers, which made the aircraft a multipurpose tool. The OV-10D version received equipment for night observation with a turret under the nose and served with the Marine Corps. The aircraft came about in the early 1960s out of a requirement for a simple machine able to operate from short strips.
Finish the inside of the bay before you glue the fuselage halves together. Bring out a light base shade with a dark wash into the corners and on the edges, so that the structure of the ribs and the floor stands out. If you leave the rear doors open, it pays to add small fittings or a figure, otherwise the work done will stay hidden. It is good to paint the floor darker than the walls, because the wear there was greatest. Do a dry test with the fuselage closed as well.
The aircraft model and paints are not included in this set.
