Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter Curtiss P-40N Warhawk in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard of Obrnice near Most. This is the more extensively equipped ProfiPACK edition: besides the plastic parts it also contains colored (pre-printed) photo-etched parts, masks for the canopy glazing, decals and six marking options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The P-40 Warhawk was one of the best known American fighters of the Second World War — it became famous above all through the shark mouth painted on the nose, which was carried by the Flying Tigers machines in China as well as the desert squadrons in North Africa. The N version was the last and most numerously produced variant; it was lightened and modified for better performance and was deployed on most fronts.
Use a thin modeling cement on the plastic and test the wing and fuselage joints dry beforehand. The cockpit and the forward section deserve attention — the colored etched parts markedly raise the detail of the instrument panel and the belts. Mask the canopy glazing with the masks enclosed and spray with an airbrush. Handle the camouflage according to the period scheme you choose, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and suggest the exhaust and dust staining. Apply the decals over a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
