This set from Hauler contains resin castings of the exhaust system for the late version of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. J tank in 1:48 scale, in the Type 1 version. It replaces the simplified plastic parts of the kit with a faithful copy carrying fine detail. It is an aftermarket accessory for detailing, not a kit in its own right.
The Panzer IV was the most widespread German medium tank of the Second World War and the Ausf. J version represented its simplified late production. The exhaust pipes at the rear of the hull are among the conspicuous details that are worth bringing out.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and fit them to the rear of the hull. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A patina of rust and burnt metal tones heightens the look.
This is an accessory for the build; the model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
