Photo-etched rear stowage boxes for the Panther and Jagdpanther tanks in 1:48 scale from Aber. A set of photo-etched metal parts; it is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains photo-etched metal parts for building the rear stowage boxes mounted at the back of the German Panther tanks and the Jagdpanther tank destroyer in 1:48 scale. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory. The etched box walls have a realistic thickness and fine detail that plastic parts do not reach. The manufacturer is the Polish brand Aber.
The Panther was a German medium tank of the second half of the war, and the Jagdpanther a powerful tank destroyer built on its chassis with an 88 mm gun. Both carried characteristic sheet-metal stowage boxes for tools and equipment on the rear armor plate. Rendering these boxes faithfully is one of the prominent details of the rear of a model.
Nip the parts out of the fret and fold the boxes along the scored lines, ideally with a bending tool. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the metal with a primer before painting. The boxes can also be built with their lids realistically ajar.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
