A set of photo-etched parts intended for the Tamiya Russian infantry figure set in 1:48 scale. On figures and their equipment, photo-etch comes into its own where a part has to be thin and strong at the same time: buckles, straps, loops, handles and similar small things cannot be made in injection-molded plastic at this scale and tend to be only suggested. Exactly what the fret contains and where each part belongs is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Fit the photo-etched parts before painting, so that the equipment and the figure get a common base coat and no bare metal shows through anywhere. Small metal items come up well with a dark wash and dry-brushing; both of them bring out the edges, which at a small scale are otherwise barely noticeable. Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy coat floods the fine relief.
Figures, kits, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Which set the fret is cut for is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
