A set from the Polish brand MASTER intended for the mid and late versions of the Swedish SAAB 35 Draken fighter. According to the name it holds more than one pressure tube plus an angle-of-attack sensor probe. The exact number of pieces is stated on the packaging of the set, though the plural in the name suggests there is more than one tube.
With sets that hold several tubes, one more advantage is added to the usual benefits of metal: all the pieces are turned to the same setting, so they have the same diameter, the same length and the same stepping. Plastic parts out of a mold always differ a little in this respect, and the discrepancy shows on the model as soon as two tubes stand side by side or symmetrically on either side. Added to that is what metal can do individually: a genuine opening at the front, no parting line, perfect straightness and resistance to breaking.
Remove the plastic originals and drill holes at the mounting points. With symmetrically placed parts, mark the position first and drill starting from the smallest diameter, so that the bit does not wander. Bond with super glue or epoxy. Check the symmetry by looking from the front against the light, where a small deviation shows clearly. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and use a primer for metal surfaces. If the model is already varnished, you do not have to mask the surrounding area; simply paint the metal parts separately before gluing them in. Leave the installation until the very end of the build.
