Hauler Sd.Kfz.222 turret 1:48 is a photo-etched detail set for the turret of models of the German Sd.Kfz.222 armored car in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a build, not a model. Target kits: Tamiya and ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Hauler aimed at the open-topped turret of the German Sd.Kfz.222 light armored car in 1:48 scale. It replaces and supplements the details of the turret, above all the folding wire anti-grenade screens and their frames. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The fret is cut for the Tamiya and ICM kits.
The Sd.Kfz.222 was a German light reconnaissance armored car of the Second World War with an open-topped turret carrying a 20 mm gun and a machine gun. A characteristic feature of the turret was the folding wire screens that protected the crew from hand grenades; in fine photo-etch they look far more realistic than in plastic.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The frames of the screens call for exact bends; degrease the parts before painting and spray them with a primer. The open mesh comes off nicely after a wash and a lift of the edges.
This is a detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
