A resin detail set for a faithful improvement of the cockpit of the SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 light trainer in 1:48 scale. It holds the center instrument console and the seats with raised seat belts, which replace the simplified plastic parts of the kit and lift the level of detail in the exposed interior considerably. The set is meant for completing the matching plastic model; the aircraft itself is not in it.
The SF.260 is an Italian all-metal single-engine low-wing monoplane with a piston engine, designed by Stelio Frati. It made its name as an agile trainer and aerobatic machine with good flying qualities, and in armed versions it also serves for basic combat training. It flies with a number of air forces around the world, and its glazed canopy makes the interior a prominent part of the model.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. Before fitting them, paint the console and the seats and pick out the instruments and the belts with a dark wash and drybrushing, and only then close up the fuselage.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
