This is NOT an airplane kit, but a standalone detail set. It contains 3D-printed resin parts for the outer leading-edge wing slats (outer section) for models of the British liaison and observation aircraft Westland Lysander in 1:48 scale. It supplements parts that the basic plastic kit does not offer in the open position.
The Lysander had automatic leading-edge slats in two sections; the outer ones extended automatically depending on air pressure. The basic kit usually shows only the inner slats, while the outer ones remain closed. This set lets you display the outer slats extended, giving a more accurate impression of the aircraft's characteristic aerodynamics.
Wash the parts to remove any print resin residue and separate them from the supports. They are glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue). We recommend a primer and lightly sanding the mating surfaces for a clean joint.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
