This set is NOT a ship model but a detail accessory in 1:700 scale. It holds a set of the naval anti-aircraft weapons used by the warships of the Kriegsmarine in the Second World War. The finely rendered barrels and mounts replace the coarser kit weapons and lift the realism of the deck armament markedly.
Against the threat from the air, the ships of the Kriegsmarine carried light and medium anti-aircraft guns on both single and multi-barrel mounts. Their miniatures are among the most demanding details of small scale.
Separate the small parts from the sprue gates carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate; a sharp knife and tweezers help with the thin barrels. Even the paint finish out with an airbrush and bring out the detail with a dark wash and light drybrushing.
This is an accessory, not a complete ship model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
