RS Models 1:72 Avia Bs.122 is a short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak aerobatic and training biplane of the 1930s.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the elegant Czechoslovak single-engine Avia B.122 biplane in the Bs.122 version. It is a short-run injection-molded plastic model from the Czech manufacturer RS Models, supplemented with resin and photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Avia B.122 was an aerobatic and advanced training biplane designed in Czechoslovakia in the first half of the 1930s. It was powered by a radial engine and the machine became famous for its excellent flying and aerobatic qualities; it was used to train pilots and for public flying displays. Some of the machines also served in a military role and a few went for export.
With short-run models it pays to clean the parts up and test fit them dry first. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, and glue the resin parts with super glue after washing off the remains of the mold release agent. Apply a primer before painting, lay the shades down with an airbrush and plan the layout of the struts and the rigging of the biplane in advance.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
