An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov (KP). The JOYPACK series is a reduced-content boxing: the package holds one plastic sprue including the canopy, without decals and without printed instructions, and the instructions can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. From the sprue supplied you build one model, either in the E-4 or in the E-7 variant.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the key version of the German fighter from the beginning of the Second World War. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine with fuel injection, which allowed flight under negative g. The Emil became the backbone of the fighter force during the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. The E-4 variant had cannon in the wings and a reworked canopy; the E-7 version gained the ability to carry a drop tank or a bomb, which extended its range and its combat use.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with a thin liquid cement for plastic. Because the package contains no decals, count on obtaining a suitable decal set and downloading the instructions from the manufacturer's website. Apply a primer before painting, spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats and mask the canopy glazing carefully. Pick out the panel lines with a fine wash.
