Color three-dimensional interior elements for the two-seat F-15D in 1:48 scale. The elements are dipped briefly in lukewarm water and need no softener.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15 is a twin-engine heavy fighter with a high-set wing of large area and two vertical tails. The D version is two-seat, with the second station placed behind the pilot under a shared canopy. Two cockpits mean twice the instruments visible on a model, and therefore twice the work this set saves.
Color three-dimensional interior elements in 1:48 scale. The instruments, the labels and the division of the panels are printed in color at the factory, the part has relief of its own and it replaces the flat decal from the box. Which sections of the interior the set covers and in what number are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The color printing also includes the small labels that are practically impossible to render with a brush.
The QD range is applied like a classic decal. Cut the element from the sheet, leave it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so paint the surfaces beneath the elements, let them dry, degrease them and cover them with a gloss varnish such as Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22. Bring the element to its place, straighten it with a brush and press it down with a soft tool. On busy surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate glue will pull it down. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they would attack the printed resin.
The set suits modelers who build with an open canopy and want both cockpits finished to the same level. Check what kit it is intended for in the manufacturer's instructions. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
