Responsibility details are not available.
This is an injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale in the Advanced version. That means it holds photo-etched parts for the finer details alongside the plastic parts, the clear frame among them. The release is aimed at one particular machine, registration G-ACSP, one of the racing Comets from the famous long-distance race of 1934.
The de Havilland DH.88 Comet was a British two-seat twin-engined aircraft developed directly for the England to Australia race of 1934. It stood out for its aerodynamically clean wooden airframe, slender lines and long range. The machine registered G-ACSP carried the name Black Magic and was flown in the celebrated race by a well-known flying pair; the subject belongs among the icons of interwar sporting aviation.
Separate the photo-etched parts on a hard surface and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Sand the slender fuselage and the smooth wing roots carefully before painting, so that the gloss racing finish comes out. Mask the clear parts; apply the registration and racing number decals onto a gloss surface, so that no silvered edge is left.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
