Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the late version of the famous American Vought F4U-4 Corsair carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The package offers decals for several color options of machines from the Korean War period. The model is built from hard polystyrene and holds clear cockpit parts.
The F4U-4 was one of the most capable versions of the Corsair, with its characteristic inverted gull wing. A more powerful engine and a four-blade propeller improved performance in the climb as well as at lower levels. In the Korean War the Corsairs proved themselves above all as attack and ground-support machines.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and sand the fuselage and wing root joints down. Apply a primer before painting. The typical dark blue naval finish comes into its own with an airbrush; panel highlighting and light chipping reveal wear in service. Lay gloss varnish under the decals, and a final matte varnish evens the surface out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
